Everyone from time to time can get a little negative it's normal. But I have found to have success in working out and eating healthy you must stay positive. I try to wake up every morning a put a positive thought in my mind before I start the day...sounds a little silly but it works. Your body responds to positive thoughts and it will thank you in the end. Life is way too short to worry about or stress over the small stuff. Enjoy where your at today and know you can always work towards improvement for tomorrow and the rest of your life! Make every day count and push your limits you'll be amazed what you can do! This healthy living lifestyle is a wonderful way to live and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to imporove their overall healthy for your body and mind.

Determined
I myself can say I got to a point where saying I wanted to get fit was getting old! It was time to make it happen. In November 2004 my husband and I went to a bodybuilding show where they also were having Figure too. This was new something for women who didn't want to enter bodybuilding and wanted to compete. I was so inspired at that show I made up my mind to do one. That was when I really started taking working out and eating healthy more serious. My first show was in April and I worked so hard and made changes to my body I never thought I could. I was so proud of myself. I placed 4th out of 9 girls but for me it wasn't about the trophy it was about my accomplishment of completing my goal :) After that show I learned the keys to eating clean and realized for me it wasn't about dieting for a show but changing how I ate for the rest of my life. I eat clean all the time now not just for a show and I love it and can honestly say I feel much better for it. I want others to know that it's not hard I think everyone overthinks healthy eating and exercise at some point and time. I did ...but you just have to find what works for you. In 2009 my husband and I both competed at a show which was really a cool experience. Competing has really helped me understand what Ben goes through when preparing for a show mentally and physically. I have learned so much from my husband he is very driven and focused and it has helped me become stronger. Ben has been competing since he was 16 he loves it and now i know why. When I decided to compete in 2009 I really went big...I picked the largest show of the year and went for the Open class and placed 3rd I was thrilled! I thought I worked hard for my first show but this was an amazing journey for months I worked sooo hard training doing cardio every single day I really pushed it hard and WOW ....I couldn't believe how much I transformed from my first show. It's so amazing how far you can push yourself if you make up your mind and commit to it! I love what I do and have never been happier working out everday for me keeps me feeling good without it I feel lost :) So for anyone who thinks you could never have abs or run 3 miles I'm here to say I'm proof you can do anything ! Just BELIEVE :)
